Relative entropic uncertainty relation

چکیده
Quantum uncertainty relations are formulated in terms of relative entropy between distributions measurement outcomes and suitable reference with maximum entropy. This type entropic relation can be applied directly to observables either discrete or continuous spectra. We find that a sum entropies is bounded from above nontrivial way, which we illustrate some examples.

Entropic uncertainty relation for power-law wave packets
For the power-law quantum wave packet in configuration space, the variance of the position observable may be divergent, and, accordingly, the Heisenberg-type formulation of the uncertainty principle becomes weak. In contrast to such a situation, the information-entropic formulation involves only finite quantities, thus displaying its superiority over the Heisenberg-type relation. We attempt to ...
متن کاملA Tight High-Order Entropic Quantum Uncertainty Relation with Applications
We derive a new entropic quantum uncertainty relation involving min-entropy. The relation is tight and can be applied in various quantum-cryptographic settings. Protocols for quantum 1-out-of-2 Oblivious Transfer and quantum Bit Commitment are presented and the uncertainty relation is used to prove the security of these protocols in the boundedquantum-storage model according to new strong secur...

متن کاملAsymptotic entropic uncertainty relations
We analyze entropic uncertainty relations for two orthogonal measurements on a N-dimensional Hilbert space, performed in two generic bases. It is assumed that the unitary matrix U relating both bases is distributed according to the Haar measure on the unitary group. We provide lower bounds on the average Shannon entropy of probability distributions related to both measurements. The bounds are s...
